Growth Hacker / Traffic Specialist / Audience Engager / Marketing Pro

We're a small but growing company, so we're looking for someone who can wear a few hats.
If we don't find one person that fits all this, we'll hire separately as needed.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Smart person who is up for a challenge, knows some growth hacking basics but hasn't yet had a big win to pin their career on and is looking for a rocketship / career-maker. Also someone who prefers freedom to working in an office and has a good work environment, and knows a fair amount about marketing - PPC, SEO, and can help with customer service a bit until we hire for that.

WHAT'S REQUIRED

  1. Our #1 goal is someone to focus Audience Traffic and Audience Engagement. We have a separate writer, her job is craft compelling headlines and offers - your job is get that to the correct eyeballs. Typical tasks will include researching where all the plumbers in the world hang out (blogs, what magazines they read, what forums they spend time on, facebook and linked in groups, etc.)
  2. If you know Google Adwords, Facebook PPC, etc that's a strong plus.
  3. Some customer service will be required for a while. This will help you better understand the needs of that audience. Spoken english / phone probably won't be required, but solid email written english will.
  4. If you are familiar with a hacker mindset that's a strong plus. Example project: scrape competitor's backlinks, then find the authors of those articles, then run ads to them, or use an online tool to extract all the members of a group (say, a group for Dentists) then promote our dental blog to them.

      Note we generally start people on paid test projects first, then hire on a probationary basis which then leads to permanent hires. Coders start on a fingernail, then a finger, then a hand, then an arm before proceeding to open heart surgery. When possible, we like coders to "own" a project and so whenever practical and possible once proven, we'll have you focus entirely on a product, usually new, so you will not spend a lot of time reading someone else's code, but instead writing your own.
